If you say so. The point of that really is to convey to people who don't play games - which I know for a fact includes many of my subscribers - the emotional power of being immersed in fiction. So you say it adds nothing of substance, but for me it is the anchor of the piece. Not everything is for everyone though.
My point is that “self-harm scars aren’t acceptable so why are trans surgery scars?” is an argument worth having even if games had no emotional power, unless you’re arguing the game is inducing players to get the surgery, in which case I see your point.
